As we roll into 2022, the first noticeable trend is that soaring Jeep prices seem to have stabilised, which will obviously please buyers more than sellers. The year has yet to see a Jeep advertised for more than £28,000. Whether the perceived value peaked last autumn, or the military vehicle buying season has yet to start in earnest remains to be seen.

Despite the Christmas and new year festivities, the normal seasonal lull at this time of year has seen plenty of vehicles changing hands, giving us confidence that, as the pandemic (hopefully) staggers into an endemic, our hobby will get back to ‘normal’.

The difference in value between World War Two Jeeps and Hotchkiss variants is still noticeable. New players in the Jeep restoration world continue to emerge and the latest is The Command Post in northwest England. More people are turning to specialists for repairs or a full restoration, so unsurprisingly an industry has sprung up, only outnumbered by the legion of specialist armour restorers and repairers across the UK and Europe.
